English Conversation Classes

Welcome!

Hello! My name is Jeff, and I’m an online English Conversation Tutor with over 7 years of teaching experience. I specialize in helping Asian students (Japanese, Korean, Chinese) speak English naturally and confidently in real-life situations. I have worked primarily with Japanese students over the past 3 years. PLEASE NOTE: While the information on this page primarily features Japanese, ANYONE who wants to improve their English Conversation skills - no matter what your native language is (Chinese, Korean, German, Spanish, etc), as long as you can speak some English, you are welcome to book classes with me.

My Background

I am TESOL-certified and have taught students from beginner to advanced levels, both online and in person. Over the years, I’ve helped many learners improve their speaking, listening, and pronunciation skills through patient and enjoyable conversation practice.

As a fellow language learner myself (I’m learning Spanish!), I truly understand how challenging it can be to express yourself in another language. That’s why I always teach slowly, clearly, and patiently — so you can relax, understand, and build confidence.

• 1-on-1 Conversation Lessons via Zoom

• Personalized topics (daily life, travel, work, hobbies, news, etc.)

• Pronunciation and grammar correction during conversation

• Friendly and encouraging feedback during each lesson

• You must speak English to qualify for these classes

Lesson Details

I have 2 class options:

• 25 minutes 

• 50 minutes

All classes are prepaid, and you can book individually or in weekly/monthly packages for convenience. I recommend taking at least one class per week, however 2 to 3 classes a week will help you progress better.

Payments:

All lessons are to be paid in advance. An invoice will be sent to each student around the 25th of each month. Payment is required by the 1st of the next month for the student to be able to schedule classes that month. Email me for prices.

Please Note: My English Conversation classes are affiliated with my wife's online school (Grammy's Reading Treehouse), and your invoices will be from her online school. Therefore, you will see the GRT logo and information on the invoice.

Cancellation Policy:
As a teacher, I depend on the punctuality and consistency of my students in order to continue to provide quality classes. My ability to provide classes to students is restricted if students book appointments and then do not show up for their class.  Because of this, I have adopted these policies concerning Cancellations and Missed classes. All students who use my tutoring services agree to abide by these policies.

All classes are booked in advance. Missed or cancelled classes MAY be rescheduled, but will not be credited on upcoming invoices.

Please inform the teacher in advance when you are not going to attend a scheduled class. If you don’t inform the teacher, the teacher will wait in the classroom for 15 minutes before cancelling the class and recording it as a “NO SHOW”. The class DOES NOT qualify to be rescheduled.
